The last gig of the tour as a gig at the Paradisio in Amsterdam was cancelled or never confirmed.

I'm not sure how long the drive from Oslo to Berlin is but Terry the roadie did the whole thing in one hit. I think he had a Red Bull or something similar. He was still full of beans when we got to Berlin.

Actually this was a great journey first the fjords between Norway and Sweden. Then the surreal drive through East Germany. I have visions of big posters of workers and shops with very little in.

This was the last gig I hung around with the band. I think we'd had enough of each other by here but finished on good terms. I'd lost interest in their music by now and things were a bit strained with the road crew.
Before the gig the band went to East Berlin through Checkpoint Charlie.
I did go to two other NO gigs but just as a punter.

After the gig we had a celebratory drink in the hotel bar. Hooky and Rob kindly got my round in and presented me with a bill for £25 on my arrival. This took care of some money that the lighting guy had given me for helping him during the tour. (He must have had a boring time doing the lights for NO as all they ever wanted was blue with no effects.

The end of a great time in my live, but things move on.

I suppose I could tell you about the time we all tried to tape Hooky's bedroom action with some woman he'd met or the time he wondered off at the ferry to Denmark when he ate something that customs wouldn't have agreed with and that didn't seem to agree with him.
Or maybe in Paris when….. well maybe not.
