Notes: | lineage: Audience recording. *-* Coolsonics remaster without EQ *-* Recording Information :::unknown recording equipment -> master mono reel-to-reel -> 1st generation Maxell MX-90 cassette, Dolby B on (transfer circa 1988?). Playback 2013-11-03 ::: 1st generation Maxell MX-90 cassette on Nakamichi 680ZX cassette deck, Dolby B on, azimuth & speed adjusted (pitched!) for individual recording, heads cleaned & demagnetized -> Sony Linear PCM Recorder PCM-M10 (LPCM 48kHz/24bit WAV files) -> computer -> Audacity (normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch / dropout / bump / pop / click / dullspot repairs, clap reductions, volume adjustments, NO equalisation) -> CD Wave (track splits) -> 48kHz/24bit flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. Audacity used for additional version to dither down sampling rate to 44.10kHz/16bit for CD-R burners. First uploaded week of 2013-11-16. |

Tech Notes: | MORE mastering notes. Removed 3 brief complete master tape dropouts - 2.5 seconds & 1.5 secs at around 11mins & 1/2 sec around 15mins (mike shorting out?). Surely missed some dullspots but worked on most & a few I could only lower in impact. Master tape speed fluctuations last 30 seconds of "Toad" & thru audience noise to end. Occasional slight repetitive sizzle sounds at times, not really annoying - presumably mike frequency distortion or master tape deterioration. The reel varies very slightly in pitch through the set (which is normal). I devided the average I got in analog was fairly close & chose not to do progressive pitch changes as they would have been minor & been hard to change after the fact. |

J-Card Comment: | ::: Non-audiophile but high guitar mix & sure to please some Creamfreaks. Check samples for curdling factors or dollops of sweet Cream. |
