3 DOT 5 - PROOF OF PURPOSE
DEMO - EP

from the liner notes:
And in the midst of our journey we stumbled upon a bumbling philosopher - "a sibling of stupidity", "a man who answered questions by asking questions". He scratched at a pimple, readjusted his dominance, and turned to me with a question and a "party hardly" attitude. He said "Prove your existance!". I lit a smoking cigarette, raised a brow, and spoke with wild tongue and bad breath: "Housed in a clear plastic polymer case extruded by high grade factory machinery, the magnetite strip coated with an optimized high coercivity cobalt doped gamma ferric oxide particle contains a polarized representation of audio data providing a wealth of knowledge substantiated by ridiculous feelings, useful metaphors, and of course ... music. This is our 'proof of purpose'".

3 DOT 5 is/was:
Marc Puryear - Vocals, Bass, Keyboards
Chris Jacks - Vocals, Guitar
Brooks Bruner - Vocals, Drums, 12 string guitar
I don't think they ever achieved any real success, though they clearly should have! Before they completely broke up they went on tour with Sandra Bernhardt, they opened for her as 3 DOT 5 and then played with her as her back-up band. This stuff is AMAZING! It is completely unique, but if i were forced to compare it to anything i would describe it as the bastard child of: primus, frank zappa, mr bungle, and slayer. These guys are GREAT musicians with a good sense of humor! Do yourself a favor and check this out!"
