Run D.M.C. 05/01/08
A & E Biography, Television, Documentary
Set I
Portrait of the group that has defined hip hop music more than any other rappers. Run-DMC (a.k.a. Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons, Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels, and Jason "Jam-Master Jay" Mizell) began their career in the early 80s and had a roller coaster ride of triumph and tragedy which reached its low point when Jam-Master Jay was killed by an unknown gunman. But from Addidas shoes to Kangol hats, their style and sound have broken racial barriers, crossed musical genres, and been a major force in the music industry for two decades.
