Comment
Between 1968 and 1972 the Rolling Stones recorded numerous songs which were not released at the time. Some were cut into acetates with "Trident Studios" labels, presumably for band members or other insiders to listen to. In the late 1970s, a bootleg LP called "Trident Mixes" compiled these acetates.

This is a transfer from an original "Trident Mixes" bootleg LP. Lineage is Studio -> acetate -> bootleg LP -> PC

After the Rolling Stones left Decca/London to form their own record label, Decca/London released some of the songs on the 1975 album "Metamorphosis," using different mixes or takes. None of the songs are exactly the same as the acetate versions. Mick Jagger added vocals, among other things, to two of the instrumentals and released them on the 2010 album "Exile on Main Street (Rarities Edition)."
