My rating system:
A+ Excellent sound quality
A Great sound quality, except perhaps a few very minor flaws
A- Very good sound quality, some disturbances like light crowd noise
B+ Reasonable sound quality, some instruments are not clearly heard
B Mediocre sound quality, very rough but may still be listenable
B- Poor sound quality, no longer listenable and for die-hard fans only
C Abysmal, which band is this again?
Keep in mind that this is just my opinion. Use it as an indication of how good or bad the soundquality is. If an FM or soundboard is not rated A or A+ expect some (minor) problems with it. Excellent audience recordings are rated A-. Sometimes an audience recording is just brilliant; in those cases I rate them A (but never A+). DVD's are in "VOB/IFO/BUP" format. My ratings always deal with the sound quality, never with the image quality.
