I was looking at this show at Archive.org and found this comment on this shnid: " January 12, 2005 Reviewer: oceantree Subject: get the other source Only worry about Stella and Aroundx2 from this source of this show, as they are missing on the other SB source. The other SB has much better sound quality." This seemed amazing to me, since the other SB is 2597 that was used for this shn set. So, I compared the two several times, and if you remove the "much", he is indeed correct. Either Mr. Wier did not disclose NR or other processing or steps not listed here, or else CEPro adds a slight veiling. I have to conclude that the various housekeeping done, were not worth the overall cost in quality. |

Sorry, Dude, but the mind is a terrible thing to waste. All SBD tracks, except d1t12 & d3t02-5, for which fixes were detailed in the text file, and d2t05, d3t01, d3t05 & d3t08, for which SBEs were fixed, are the EXACT same audio files as for shnid2597. The [shntool] md5 fingerprint, which is the checksum for the audio data only, follows, and is identical to the other seed for d1t01-11 & d2t01-4. The files which differ only by the SBE fixes were compared using EAC's Compare WAVs tool and are identical except at the ends where the samples were moved. e697b2f30e35a071d674d59c57125e68 [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t01.shn b8375fe0d424db5a0a4bcfb13303f7ef [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t02.shn 9a5bfd4befd57d7a665bce3056c18481 [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t03.shn 8da1e5d2cf7c405e79f035f5207068a8 [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t04.shn fc05dc298d7a1909dd74bef44acf3dbc [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t05.shn 9b0d7cbdb5b366fe911c39106d5d9312 [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t06.shn 26878c1acc6c613ac20d1ffab53a31a0 [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t07.shn 23ed31bf968c5f5e6deaa09bedbf300c [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t08.shn 09c72d8eb2caed490a352247c7a6156f [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t09.shn 72c4fc69b92e149efc0e61ff0eb1dd1b [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t10.shn 46cd54708b4afb3eb5eff36a4518e252 [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t11.shn 285e716a3b9a2c60207d80f938071055 [shntool] gd74-05-21d1t12.shn 0bbdd7731b6e4d4f66052caea69b5359 [shntool] gd74-05-21d2t01.shn 601f39ba1d8355e397dd8b3b5355567a [shntool] gd74-05-21d2t02.shn eff5ec44ab47e15750508b26df8a87d4 [shntool] gd74-05-21d2t03.shn 4f4ef9edf2a19226bf825c54996ac13d [shntool] gd74-05-21d2t04.shn efb6c26a064609b2783fb801ec77cbb3 [shntool] gd74-05-21d2t05.shn 638002533e978cce9e34d60c99bc4a2c [shntool] gd74-05-21d3t01.shn a1e7d31fb89644e46f55cdb40a62c92a [shntool] gd74-05-21d3t02.shn db321c6f4fa912b6904cd06d19c77af6 [shntool] gd74-05-21d3t03.shn d46b050e90147f60b15da2a9232cc6cf [shntool] gd74-05-21d3t04.shn 6337a37bf0354b2f83b7137ebf503511 [shntool] gd74-05-21d3t05.shn d6c37de6ec80853ef588076a9d6b985c [shntool] gd74-05-21d3t06.shn 7efc61167420488c08da7e7c8c0575d8 [shntool] gd74-05-21d3t07.shn cfb29bc1a026adf5e1f7e0c8f5a3a14f [shntool] gd74-05-21d3t08.shn Perhaps, the previous reviewer's comment at archive.org should have stated that the other SB has much better sound quality than Stella and Aroundx2 (the tracks patched from the AudMC). At least for the time being, this appears to be the best SBD source patched with the best circulating audience. Absolutely no remastering has been done with the exception of patching the 2 sources together. No audio engineer egos present... I just tried to combine the best of what was available for an awesome show :) |

07/24/2008 | cool_breeze | The beginning of WRS Prelude sounds like its cut. It's missing the opening guitar figure. | |
07/24/2008 | cool_breeze | Oops! The cut in Prelude was documented in the text file for 2597. |
