Hokker Van Der Heegan When I went to this show I had only been recently turned on to psycadelic music and was still very much into punk music. I saw both types of music as basicly the same, that is to say they both involved dancing and having fun so I was primed for my first show. I did not know many of the songs but do remember the Alabama as being loads of fun and the china> rider was so cool very fast and the band was so tight. Truckin through drums and space seemed like one long song with such ebb and flow and interesting jams that I was hooked like a bass. After that at quite a few shows we would get psyched for shows by jamming punk music in the parking lot for which we got dirty looks and nasty comments. We just shrugged it off and had a great time anyway.
