No ticket to this show..Saw Bill Graham in the parking lot and he told me to climb the mountain...I did...Made it to the top just in time to see Jimmy Cliff come on. Missed Tower of Power...Oh well. |

This was my first Garcia Band show. Awesome venue, high up in the Sierra Nevada mountains at Squaw Valley. You had to take the gondola ski lift to get up there. My ex wife and I took our daughter, who was only three months old, to this show, so I didn't tape it. It was really windy and we left early, before the end of the show. Sadly, I missed the announcement that the acoustic set with Grisman the following day would be moved to the morning, before the wind got bad. I missed the ENTIRE acoustic set. I was soooooo bummed. I never got to see Jerry acoustic. :( Luckily I have the soundboards of both days. |
