I was there and I was 16, and I had no idea who Pink Floyd were. My girlfriend had a cousin who was engaged to the lead singer of 'Flying Circus' (Terry Wilkins), Terry had a free ticket and he gave it to me. It was the start of a lifelong appreciation of one of the greatest bands in history. It was an amazing experience, I had never heard anything like it, they did 'special effects' with sound. During 'Echoes' I was sure the sound focus was moving through three dimensions, back and forth and around the stage, mind you I was above the stage looking down from the roof of the stand. An absolutely superlative performance. |
