Steve Larson Itraveled fron Dallas to Jacksonville and hooked up with my good friend Jon. We traveled down the east Fla. coast looking for the good surf. I had never surfed so it was all good for me.

We hit Daytona, for what we thought would be ful of spring breakers. Well, it was, but it happened to be th weekend that most afro-american colleges have their spring break. So here we are the only white guys in Daytona. , I realy didn't give a shit about the situation but some of our entouage were pretty uptight about it. I tried to get them to hang out in one of the biker bars, but even that scared them. it was a crappy dilemma.

So we were walking down the main strip, the palest people to be seen, when a VW bus comes cruising by. A redhead, fair skinned, deadhead girl leaning out the window of the microbus points and hollers at us "Finally ... white people". It was very odd, the entire street seemed to stop at the absurdity of the moment. I laughed, turned to the person next to me and asked "Where?"

Well, we traveled on down to Orlando and enjoyed the show. It was the last time I got to see Jerry with the band, Bruce Hornsby was manning the 88s.

I still have the shirt. ;D

Rob Maurice Seems to me there was one of these Orlando shows that Mickeys Grandmother died and they postponed. I was at one of the three shows , I think this one.
