I was an 18-year-old blues fan, there to see all 4 bands but most especially Aerosmith. KISS blew 'em all off the stage. By far, they were more polished, more fun, more intimidating and more entertaining than anyone else who performed that night. Clearly ths was a phenomenon to be reckoned with. My friends hated KISS. Coming after them, while being excellent in their own right, Aerosmith was almost a disappointment. And I say this as one who isn't particularly a fan of KISS or their style of music. You just have to be honest, and give credit where credit is due. |
