matt johnston This is my favorite phish show that I attended. The weather was beautiful. The venue is small by today's standards....and general admission. The police presence outside was a little obtrusive (and with possesion of anything a felony in AZ, a little scary for some people).
The acutal performance was probably the best I have seen (maybe 6/18/94 was better). Guyute was a new song that I'd heard about but never seen live. I swear the Antelope closer has a Star Wars jam in there. The Tweezer was great. I remember hearing people in the crowd saying that they were doing Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun by Pink Floyd. The Slave jam was unexpected and very well done.
Fishman said that we were a good crowd before the encore which was cool! Blue and Lonesome! My favorite version. The Foreplay/Longtime put the crowd in a very good mood. My tape cuts during Longtime.
