matt johnston Travelled down from Chicago to see this show. Very fun. No smoking or drinking in the venue. This was a classy looking place. Ornate. We sat in the balcony....which was in a semi-circle that went all the way around. Comfortable chairs. Tapers had their gear clamped to the balcony rail (I saw about three rigs). This was on SIU's campus and I think that was why there was supposed to be no smoking or drinking. I didn't see any security checking people on the way in....which made sneaking in our flask of whiskey very easy. Inside there was security so people were taking many trips to the bathroom (wink, wink). Excellent show. Buenos Tardes was performed very well. This was my second show so lots of new songs for me. Highlights for me: Springtheme, Sketches of Winkle, What Deaner was Talking About, BOOZE ME UP!!!
There was a super bad storm that night...tornados, blinding rain...I think a few people were killed a few towns over. I remember eating a burrito after the show!! Mmmmmm... burrito.
