Ray Augustine My first show, (prior to this I had seen Kingfish once in '75 and Garcia once in '76). There were some nice photos of this or the day before inside the vinyl release by Warner Bros. of that collection album "What a long strange trip it's been", (primarily good for only for the included, originally released as a single, version of Dark Star that's about a mintute and a half long, otherwise all the tunes were on previously released albums). Also a big green poster for these shows. This alsob is the only time I saw Kieth Moon,(red and white solid horizontal striped shirt), since this was opening for the Who !
I'll never forget the casual way Weir in his dark marroon shirt said they were gonna take a break, while they were still playing Dancin', after an amazing jam during which was probably the only time I ever saw Garcia do a relatively extended segment with a slide, while he had his foot on a wah pedal; given the still relatively primitive state of the art of electronic effects at the time ! (see my comment on Swing in '77)
