Betty Board; d1 overtime- see G. Hamilton's alternate tracking suggestions; no md5s originally- checksums here are generated from the alt tracking; a few dropouts and reel changes; via Datsit, Other1, Steve; listener Jason Palmer asserts that there may be NR applied to this version?; Dropouts noted: Samson and Delilah @ 1:54; Music Never Stopped @ 2:04; note d1 tracks are in correct order unlike later reshn of this version; upgrade in circulation

EAC> seeking SHN by anonymous of previous set, with "alternate" tracking, but also with additional error- this shn set has been circulated with d1t2,t3 switched- correctly listed in info file, but with incorrect tracknames as in d1error.md5 here; d1ok.md5 here shows correct track ordering; Dropouts noted: Samson and Delilah @ 1:54; Music Never Stopped @ 2:04; upgrade in circulation

Ray Augustine My 3rd show. What is most memorable about this one besides the weird shape of that building, (instead of being long and narrow, it was short and very wide, so side balconies were very far from the stage which made for a strange audience tape which I initially got shortly there after, made up on the left side. So, thanks to Betty for this and most '77 shows, but unfortunately, not all '77, (who out there has got a 1st gen. copy of Bob Menky's master of The Forum 6-4-77 ?), which apparently burned down after a plane crashed into it some time after ELP played there, is givern the still relatively primitive state of "synthesizers" then only one note at a time ! Thus when they played Estimated Prophet for the 1st time, Garcia's envelope filter effect was not yet a totally independent device. So when you hear Weir mention equipment delays, what Steve Parish etc. is doing is hooking Garcia into a Moog synthesizer which Keith was using briefly. As you know probably, Keith was primarily an acoustic piano player, and rarely played electric, (later some electric piano like in Santa Barbara for example in '78. Also when they were playing The beginning of Slipknot!, Garcia and Weir were closely facig each other and Lesh closely adjacent !
