A special story involves this performance. Elvis was visited, backstage, by a woman and her 8-yr old cancer victim daughter named Denise Marie Louise Sanchez. The meeting was arranged with the assistance of an Albuquerque Journal newspaper reporter. They met up with Colonel Tom Parker at the Hilton Hotel in Albuquerque in the afternoon. Upon seeing the condition of the poor little girl, the Colonel arranged not only for special front row seating, but a meet 'n' greet before the show, then a special exit after the show as to not fight the crowds exiting the arena. It was the joy of the little girl's life. Having his own healthy daughter, Elvis felt compassion and tenderness towards the girl, kissing her on her cheek and writing a bold autograph on a poster that hung in a special place in the family home. Sadly, within a few months, little Denise succumbed to the cancer at age eight. Incidentally, the girl's father was a PFC in the Army, who passed away in May 1968 at age 25 - meaning he probably was caught up in the the Tet Offensive in Vietnam (?). The child's mother passed away herself before reaching 58 years old. It was a tragic family story all the way around, but for a few moments, on the night of this particular show, Elvis Presley brought love 'n' joy to the hearts of this young family. The first show is dated August 18, 1972 Dinner Show, the others are undated. First segment: Elvis' star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, then very quickly the drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas along with some of the different billboards used to promote Elvis during this season: 5mins. Second segment: Elvis comes out in a two piece white high collar suit displaying red pockets on the side with a red eagle belt and paisley shirt, this footage is from the balcony, with dubbed sound. 12 mins. Apparently August 18, 1972 DS. Third segment: Elvis in the "Port Hole Suit" but wearing the same belt he worn with the two piece suit in the previous footage, dubbed sound, however the sound completely disappears after the song "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me". 7 mins.
