Notes: Version:2 source suffers from significant distortion through out the show (grade C+). The version:1 sounds much better (grade A-). I have dEQed version:1 to raise the level in the left channel and tightend some bass and precussion segments. The dEQed source is thus: [DSM-6SM -> Sharp MT-877 -> ?? -> .shn -> .wav -> dEQ -> .shn]

Notes: Counting Crows Virgin Megastore, Union Square, New York City July 11th, 2002 Taper: Ehud Lazin (lazine@hotmail.com) Source for Version 1: DSM-6SM -> Sharp MT-877 Source for Version 2: SP-CMC-20 Cardioid mics -> Sony MZ-R700 Location: 10 feet from stage to the right almost on the speakers converted with Sound Forge -> wav -> cdwave -> mkw -> shn *** DO NOT ENCODE THIS SHOW INTO MP3 OR ANY OTHER LOSSY FORMAT *** this will be a different concept for most of you out there. I taped the show using 2 decks running at the same time, so there are two sources of the smae show done by the same taper. the first is a clear sounding DSM version which sounds great, and the second just for fun is a Cardioid source that is a little more rusty since i was standing way to close to the speakers since i had no where else to stand so it's a bit rough, but you can choose which one you like better. Disc 1 ------ Source version 1: 1. glimpse of the soundcheck 1:07 2. Hard Candy 6:13 3. Mr. Jones 5:38 4. Richard Manuel is Dead 5:55 5. American Girls 5:17 6. A Long December 7:44 Source version 2: 7. Hard Candy 5:38 8. Mr. Jones 5:40 9. Richard Manuel is Dead 5:52 10. American Girls 5:22 11. A Long December 7:39 Total: 62:05 the whole show is acoustic. band was in a very good mood and only 150 people were allowed in the store.
