OldNeumanntapr (5/5) FLAC / 0 A+ View   DSM-6Ps >Sony TCD-D7 (9th Row, Side)
Notes: Total Running Time: 2 hours 56 minutes and 58 seconds Recorded by Tom Jorgensen 9th row on side Sonic Studios DSM-6P > Sony TCD-D7 1st copy digital clone of master from OldNeumanntapr's DAT @ 16-48 (received from Tom) 1st Clone Copied From Master: Sony 60 ES >S/PDIF >Tascam DA-40. For all intents an exact copy of the master Transfer & Mastering by Flying -M- Playback on an Otari DTR-8S > Korg MR-2000-S via digital coax @ 16-48 Audacity > Har-Bal > iZotope RX6 advanced > CD Wave > iZotope RX6 advanced (16-44) > TLH (flac level 8) The sound favored the right side even though the meters were balanced Corrected this by adjusting the phase - Removing samples from left channel with Audacity and bringing the listening center to the middle Harmonic Balancing (EQ) and a light 2dB compression - Har-Ball Reduced the sub 200 Hz bump during harmonic balancing and spot reduced it even more where the bass became overbearing Once the bass was reduced it allowed the other frequencies to be heard better bringing out more detail Removed the loud clapping and a 60 Hz hum Removed or minimize the neighbors constantly "who hoo-ing" close to the mics and some of the loudest or shrillest whistling There were hundreds of those whoo hoo's and hoots, it was like a contest or something and took a while to reduce all of that Some chatter was also attenuated so that it doesn't stick out as much Increase amplitude of the entire set by 3 dB and selectively reduced peaks to avoid clipping Fine balance Fixed the digital breakup at the beginning of "Run Like Hell" - it was less than a seconds worth During the second set the recording starts "in progress" - the taper had to take a pee and didn't get back in time. A clip from an alternate capture (recorded by Jaycee and also using Sonic Studios DSM-6P's on the floor) filled in the missing segment. Equalization and stereo depth matching were performed in an attempt to blend the 2 sources together. Thanks to Jaycee for the 6 minute and 33 second patch used to complete this performance. For historical reference only and not intended for resale or any commercial use. enjoy -M- (Jan 2018) A FLYING M PRODUCTION in conjunction with OLDNEUMANNTAPR! and Tom Jorgenson
