Matt Vernon	SHN	2		sbd (Cotsman) with very nice sound and mix, Kieth really stands out on his 2nd show and his first Dark Star. This show also has many instances of band banter from the stage that are very funny - Jerry/Phil/Bob all are chatty after many songs in set 1. As the TC reviewer notes, Keith's playing is great on this show, he is adding and leading all sorts of great riffs throughout. Very enthusiastic performance by the band - should be on your "must hear once 71 list". Also has one of the first cases with PITB having a jam, though still short by what it would become. The Dark Star is very nice, with a Felling Groovy jam which swerves into a balls out version of Sittin' On Top Of The World which is a super version. Hard to imagine one sitting down and listening to this. In resuming Dark Star one guitar sounds out of tune and of course the vocals are a bit off for the "Nightfall of Diamonds" part, partly repaired by Keith's tinkling keys and a quick segue into MABM. Add in a St Stephen > JBG encore and you can't pass this show up.
