Ray Augustine The first show I ever taped of Gtrateful Dead that is. Too bad I had to go to school in LA during, the first show when i went out and bought my deck. The wildest Dancin' I certainly ever saw maybe ever ! Bob weir's guitar woludn't stay strapped during Around & Around and for a while Donna had to hold things together. Then Weir gave up and ran around like Mick Jagger etc.
Besides the UCLA show, before New Year's, these shows have the best Hamza El-Din performances ever. He played his Oud and sang, besides just having Mickey introduce the crowd to the sequence to participate in his, as I called it then, clap jam, ie. Olin Arageed. By the time UCLA rolled around they had developed it to it's fullest.
